"What door is opened into soul through our wounds?"
- James Hillman
Approach to therapy
Therapy offers a space to slow down, pay attention to, and become curious about what your inner life may be communicating. Drawing on Jungian-oriented and psychodynamic psychotherapy, I explore with you what your symptoms, relationships, dreams, and creative life may be revealing about your inner world, and what deeper patterns and possibilities may be asking for your attention.
Every therapeutic process is unique. I see my role as listening carefully and responding thoughtfully to your story, creating space for curiosity, insight, and self-exploration. Together, we can develop a deeper awareness of the conscious and unconscious patterns that shape your experience—patterns that can influence how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. Through this process, therapy can become a way of engaging with your life with greater awareness, freedom, and meaning.
Depending on your needs and interests, therapy may include traditional talk therapy as well as expressive and experiential approaches such as expressive arts, sandplay, and dream work. These methods can offer additional ways of exploring experiences that may be difficult to access through words alone.
Who I Work With
I work with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, shame and guilt, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, questions of identity, masculinity and men's experiences, and questions of purpose and meaning.
I have experience working with clients from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, spiritual, gender, and sexual identity backgrounds, and I welcome you to bring your full self into the therapy room. I strive to create a space where your experiences can be approached with openness, curiosity, and respect.
